I have the great pleasure to present the web portal of the Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena and Area, with which we intend to know us more and better, bringing our centers for professionals and citizens.
 
Since its inception we have paid special attention to its configuration with a dual objective: to achieve better and more information is constantly updated and accessible version transmitted in media and through the implementation of accessibility guidelines for people with certain types of disability.
 
It is designed with a structure in different blocks: Hospital and Area, Clinical Management Units and Services Professionals and Providers, by which we make a journey through the different and numerous activities taking place in our centers. At the same time, allow us to disseminate the latest news of interest, the agenda with the most relevant events and links and contacts.
 
Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena Hospital is a public that depends on the Ministry of Health of the Andalusian, serves a population of over 560,000 inhabitants of the area north of the province of Seville, holding important leadership in healthcare activities, teaching and research within the Andalusian Public Health System.
 
In recent years we have developed innovative major projects in: information technology and communication, telemedicine, scanning, logistics platform, and a Plan for Modernization of structures, with numerous and varied the comprehensive reforms undertaken.
 
I want to stress once again the effort and dedication of all men and women working in the Hospital Universitario Virgen Macarena, to make it an important reference of the Andalusian Health for their cooperation and continued participation in all projects we have undertaken.
 
It only remains to congratulate the possibilities offered by new technologies, to give effect to transmit information quickly and updated to the general public, and citizens and professionals from hospitals in particular.
